Creation

Patience

Strength

Stability

Longevity

Innocence

Endurance

Protection

Perserverance has the turtle

As she patiently travels along.

In her slowness she missed nothing,

For she hears Mother Earth's song.

Patience, old wisdom, I'll learn from you,

Deep forest secrets and Earth magick true.

The tortoise will teach you how to make time work for you.  She knows that if you simply put one foot in front of the other and keep moving, you are bound to reach your destination.  She is not afraid to set ambitious goals, even seemingly impossible goals, for her patience and tenacity are built upon a deep belief in herself.  Allow her to give you this faith, this deep knowledge that you can accomplish anything you set out to do, if only you will keep going and never quit.  For you are the tortoise, and the tortoise never gives up.

Older then Dinosaur, embodiment of ancient wisdom and living testament to the wonderful of her form, unchanging Tortoise plods on though time. Like Tortoise, resist change for novelty’s sake. Be true to your way of living, your partner, and your creativity, lest you destroy something more wonderful then you yet know. Tortoise also counsel constructing a mental carapace to protect yourself from the unjustified criticisms of others, for as Tortoise’s’ hatchlings emerge from their shells, perfect, you too were born flawless.
